BARRON LAND

To the inner depths of you I cling
My need to survive is all I obey
Upon dangerous ground I tread
To empty spaces I glue myself
A place within you I call viscid hollow
Where once the land was lush and green
Now a carved out empty barren land
Still I cling unto the damp and pasty fields
This sunken marsh of pain
Until the time the fields regrow
From the seeds I carry within my hand
To plant this seed of hope
Upon lonely fields of gold
To the inner depths of you
I must cling
Undeterred
I take strong hold
With the tears of my sorrow
I water the very ground of your soul
Waiting silently
Per chance
A seed of love may grow
