WISHFUL THINKING

Far below the ordinary
The right, the just and fair
You'll find the keeper of the change of luck
In his creaking worn out chair
He's the one we all know
For we call to him from time to time
When we question what we don't like
It has no reason, sense or rhyme
We all have had these moments
When we're desperate change the past
Shouting, screaming, begging
Till our final prayers our last
You stare into the darkness
Believe this keeper will assist
Hoping beyond hoping
That your plea won't go out missed
Sleeping, holding onto maybe
With a glimpse of morning still to come
That the keeper heard you calling
That you wish, and it is done
